　　1、 The function of the transmission synchronizer:

　　A synchronizer is a gear shifter that forcibly inserts a slow rotating gear into a high-speed rotating gear to ensure that the gear speed at the power output end matches the gear speed at the power output end, thereby avoiding gear shifting shock.

　　2、 Introduction to Transmission Synchronizer:

　　Due to the fact that the input shaft and output shaft of the transmission rotate at their respective speeds, there is a synchronization issue when shifting gears. Forcefully meshing two gears with different rotational speeds will inevitably result in impact collision and damage to the gears. Therefore, the shifting of old style transmissions should adopt a "two foot clutch" method, with upshifts staying in neutral for a moment and downshifts requiring the throttle valve to be filled in neutral to reduce the gear speed difference. But this operation is quite complex and difficult to master accurately. Therefore, the designer created a "synchronizer" to achieve consistent speed and smooth meshing of the gears to be meshed through the synchronizer.

　　A synchronizer is a friction plate arranged on the coupling sleeve and gear set. Unlike typical friction plates, its friction surface is conical. The function of this set of friction plates is to perform friction in advance before the straight teeth and the vertical teeth of the disc come into contact, in order to transfer the energy of the higher speed side to the lower speed side, so that the lower speed side can increase the speed and achieve synchronization with the higher speed side. This not only ensures normal gear shifting, but also plays a buffering role, and the number and material of the conical friction plate group directly affect the performance of the synchronizer.
