The local supporting rate of the turning point in the Chengdu Chongqing region has reached 58%, and the regional policy has built an industrial cluster advantage

The latest research data from the China Academy of Automotive Engineering shows that by 2024, the proportion of local procurement of steering knuckles by new energy vehicle enterprises in the Chengdu Chongqing region has reached 58%, far exceeding the national average of 42%. The regional industrial cluster effect is significant. This achievement is attributed to the implementation of the "Action Plan for Coordinated Development of the Automobile Industry Chain in the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle". The policy provides full VAT refunds to suppliers with a local supporting rate of over 60%, and sets up a 2 billion yuan industry guidance fund to support the application of recycled aluminum.

At present, local host factories such as Xilis and Changan Shenlan have established deep cooperation with turning joint enterprises in the Sichuan Chongqing region, forming a complete industrial chain from aluminum alloy melting to precision machining. At the same time, the Yangtze River Delta focuses on integrated die-casting, the Pearl River Delta focuses on line control integration, and the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region promotes carbon footprint mutual recognition, forming a differentiated development pattern nationwide. Local policies, through tools such as research and development subsidies and land security, have continuously increased industry concentration, and the industry CR5 has reached 53.7% by 2024.
